A mobile system to assess the performance of ice hockey dasher boards was developed by AGU. Today the system was presented at Bossard Arena in Zug. Utilizing a standardised pendulum the energy absorption of a board is tested. New board systems aim at reducing the injury risk of a player upon impact.

The project was support by the Swiss Council for Accident Prevention (www.bfu.ch), the ice hockey club EVZ (www.evz.ch), the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation and HDI Gerling Global.
